Round will not chamber.) Action Type: Single Action Semi-Auto Pistol with Internal Magazine Loaded Via Stripper Clips Markings: The left side of the trigger guard and slide are marked “7605o”. The left side of the slide is also marked “STEYR 1918”, “K” and “S”. May 15, 2005 my S9 serial 0343** on 11/01 the S was purchased 11/04 from davidson's. To check the date look on the inside of your frame by where the metal plate w/ serial # is.there is a bunch of number that i have no idea what they mean and a little clock/dial w/ hand ppoiting to month (1-12) and 99, 00, 01, 02 etc inside the ring. Steyr Hahn sn, date, and proof data. Steyr Hahn M1912 Serial # 1116z Dated 1919. Eagle N on barrel near serial number. The left side of the hammer, the safety, the frame in front of the safety, the magazine follower, the extractor, the bottom of the slide release and the top of the magazine follower are also marked “K” (“K” was the acceptance mark of Meister Josef Kogler). The right side of the trigger guard is marked “W-n” (the inspection mark of Wiener-Neustadt), a Hapsburg Eagle, and a “16” date code. The left side of the rectangular lanyard ring on the bottom of the grip frame is also marked “K” and with a Hapsburg Eagle. The slot in the frame at the front left of the barrel is marked “8” and the slot in the right side is marked with what looks like a “J”. The lug at the rear underside of the barrel is marked “K”, with what looks like a circled “8” and “7605o”. Barrel Length: 5 1/8” Sights / Optics: The front sight is a post style blade dovetailed into the slide that has an inverted “V” shape when viewed from the rear. The rear sight is a “V” groove at the top of the raised ears used as a cocking piece at the back of the slide. Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered walnut. The checkering shows light wear with heavy wear around the edges and a large spot of heavy wear near the top of the left grip. The smooth borders show a few small dings with a shallow bruise and a sharp ding at the top of the left grip. The right grip is slightly loose on the frame. The grips rate in about Very Good overall condition. Type of Finish: The finish is blued. The hammer is “In The White” and the trigger, extractor and the hammer screw have a straw-colored finish. Finish Originality: The pistol has been refinished. There is pitting under the finish in several places, the date on the left side of the slide has been polished smooth in spots and the “W” on the right side of the trigger guard has been polished nearly smooth.
